Our Programs
Our Programs
PODER knows our movement is intersectional, and all issues are interconnected. We focus on advocacy across five main issue areas immigration, economic justice, education, labor, and gender equity.
Immigration
PODER has organized six rallies with over five thousand community members in attendance. We advocate at a national, state, and local level for immigrants rights. Our most active campaign is the Manejando Sin Miedo campaign that advocates for drivers licenses for undocumented Idahoans.
Education
PODER was an organizing partner for the Quality Education Act initiative. We were able to help gather signatures in the Canyon County area, and qualify three districts. Through this campaign we were successful in ensuring $410 Million investment in Idaho k-12 education.
Economic Justice
PODER co-leads the Elevate Idaho Families alongside our partners, the Idaho Center for Fiscal Policy, to further economic justice for moderate to low income Idahoans. We advocate for equitable tax and economic policy. Join the campaign!
Labor and Gender Equity
Our Sana Hermana project conducted research with farmworker women in four rural communities across the state. We created a report on our findings, one of which is creating a movement of farmworker women and advocates to free themselves from state and gender based violence and discrimination.
